Professional Learning Builds Skills and Relationships Let the Institute Help You with Your Immersive Humanities Needs As a non-profit organized by educators for educators, we want to help you utilize effective immersive humanities tools in your classroom. Whether that is through assisting you with training, securing funds for the materials you need, or getting you materials at the lowest cost possible, we are here to help. Lastly, in an effort to save you even more time, we continue to add items to our Resource Center to make finding relevant experiences fast and easy. Professional Conferences Provide Many Opportunities Regional conferences, like last week's Texas Computer Educators Association Convention & Expo, can serve as alternatives to larger national conferences when scheduling or funding concerns are a factor. Often, the quality of presenters is on par with larger gatherings and attendees come from great distances to take advantage of what they have to share. It was great to meet educators from as far away as New York, Florida, California, and Nebraska who stopped by our exhibit booth. Likewise it was great to see and learn from experts like Jaime Donally (@ARVRinEDU), Leslie Fisher (@lesliefisher), Janet and Joan from J2Training (@corderj and @joangore), and more. Among hundreds of exhibitors, were the founders of Kai's Clan who were in Austin from New Zealand with their program that helps teach coding in an interdisciplinary way with robots and augmented reality, more to come on them soon. The Institute staff are thankful for those that attended our session, came by our booth, and encouraged others to come by and learn how we can help them use immersive technology to teach the humanities.
